[Coco] Interested in FTP access on my server?

No donations from this user.  I see it as a great excuse to learn linux, which 
is free, and which can setup both ftp and http downloads very easily using 
nothing but the software on the install cd/dvd.  Its dozens of times more 
secure than anything you can get from M$ and its ilk, and which has been 
prooven in practice many times.  This is 2007, and I've been using it 
exclusively both at work and at home for 9 years now.  In that time I'm aware 
of only one machine that has been compromised, the mail server at the tv 
station via a bind exploit we'd been told about but had been too busy to 
update that utility.  That was back in RedHat 6.2 days, a long time back up 
the log now and well before the automatic update utilities we have now.  In 
that same time period since, we've had to blow away and re-install windows at 
least 150 times on the 50 or 60 windows boxes scattered about the offices 
there.

Make the jump, I don't think you'll ever look back and consider using a 
proprietary solution again.

To put a point on it, there were serious exploits announced for flash (all 
platforms) and java (all platforms) in the last 36 hours.  Without any great 
amount of effort the patches have been done and the fixed versions of those 
two fairly major software packages are already downloaded and installed on 
this machine.  M$ will screw around for a couple of months and then in all 
probability will issue a broken patch such as they just did for their .NET, 
their answer to a problem that didn't exist before they started the .NET 
project.  With friends like that, you don't need any enemies...
