There was also one called Speak Up! from Classical Computing by David
Dubowski. This is a completely software based voice synthesizer and
works on any CoCo. Mr. Dubowski was kind enough to release the program
for non-commercial use, but I haven't had a method to get it into the PC
yet in dsk format. I will do so as soon as possible (or if anyone is
willing to do it, and email the image back to me, I'd be happy to send a
5 1/4" with the program on it... please contact me off list if
willing). The program didn't have an AI with it, though. See the
current issue of CoCo Nutz! E-zine for an interview with the creator.
The pak based one from Speech System was, at one time, sold with an
Eliza program, which was a simple AI, if I remember correctly. The pak
comes up on eBay occasionally. Haven't ever seen the software for it, alas.

Angel's Luck,
Capt.

PS It would be a simple matter to convert an "Eliza" or "Animals" style
AI game for use the Speak Up!, FWIW. :)
