I'll check the Blinds settings and see if that has something to do with it. Beyond that, I really don't care. The OS/2 Warp screen really messes with peoples minds...

Without knowing a lot about it, BootSkin does not patch or replace the
XP *kernel* (ntoskrnl.exe?) like other utilities do (and which doesn't
sound to be a good idea at all) but is loading a certain .dll to change
the splash screen. Maybe you could look for this file (wasn't able to
google its name again) on your system. Or you'll find something like:

[BootSkin]
Type=0
Name = "filename"
Author = "Your Name"
Description = "none"
ProgressBar=progress.bmp
ProgressBarX = 210
ProgressBarY = 80
ProgressBarWidth = 220
Screen=filename.bmp

in one of the systems .ini files.
