With the D2, my guess is that you'll have to invert the sync signals, OR 
make a composite sync available.

I got a 1084S D2 monitor, the last one Commodore produced, and I can´t
make it work with my CoCo 3. I even bought the Cloud 9 cable, but it
doesn´t work. The picture lacks synchronism.

Maybe this D2 model isn´t compatible with the CoCo 3.
