[Coco] ML Disk I/O examples?

I'm after similar code myself

I for one would sure appreciate a less convoluted and easier-to-process 
example. Although very comprehensive, the Unravelled serires is 
hard-going when you're looking for something simple.

If anyone could either put together a quick sample, or point us to 
something more readable, it would be muchly appreciated!
