This thread brings back memories. I may have to dig the Amiga 3000 out 
of the closet and see if it still works. I remember spending a lot of 
time messing with dynamic ham/half-bright mode, etc.

As far as animated HAM, I seem to remember it was possible and even 
easily accomplished in programs like Deluxe Paint. I vaguely remember a 
HAM fishbowl demo.
