I looked at the data sheet for the MR2A16A.  It's a 512K part and from
the notes on the data sheet there should be an MR4A16A (1MB) part
available soon.

The interface allows it to be attached to an 8 or 16 bit data buss.
Specs say all inputs and outputs are TTL compatible and list 4.6V
Absolute Max for the power source but it was designed for 3.3V.  
Safely hooking it up to a coco without buffer/line driver chips might
be a stretch.
