No TRS-80 wass used - IIRC, it was either an Altair machine with 8" drives 
(or Imsai).  In either event, the computer was nothing more than a bunch of 
pieces the film crew cobbled together and never was a "complete system."

Somewhat interesting note:  Matthew Broderick couldn't type, so they rigged 
a script to just send the next keystroke when he hit any key.
