Only three non-alpha-numeric characters are permitted as the first character
of a filename. They are $ .(period) _(underscore) those are also permitted
inside a filename, as well as -(minus) All other characters are illegal as
first the character of a filename, and treated as delimiter inside a
filename.

Some characters, like % and ' appear to be completely ignored! Not sure what
happens there.

This was all tested on NitrOS9 V03.02.05 using the MESS emulator V102.
