Guillaume,

Yeah, I'm using NitrOS-9 and I've got VI and VRN in my boot file. I'm
not booting from the dsk images you provided, but from another NitrOS9
boot disk that has VI and VRN in the bootfile. I was just wondering if
the KQ4 disk image used a different version of VI and VRN than what the
KQ3 game uses. I guess not? Same version? Okay. I tried actually copying
the dsk image onto a real 5 1/4" floppy but ran into the same problem
I've had for a long time of not being able to successfully do that (It's
a hardware issue I think, but that's for another post for some other
time). That's why I'm using Drivewire. It allows me to access dsk images
on my PC from my real Coco through a serial cable. Using Drivewire to
access the disk image, I don't need to specify that it is an 80-track disk.

So you've told me two things I was curious about: You did test these
games on a real Coco, and KQ4 uses the same versions of VI and VRN that
KQ3 uses. Okay. Back to the drawing board. It sounds like this may be a
hardware issue.

Thanks,
Fred Provoncha
