Under os9 however, we have an excelent little tool that can be plugged 
into the kernel, and then called from anyplace in your src that looks 
or acts as if there mighty be a problem.   I used it extensively when 
writing myram and its siblings, also in redoing rbf for nitros9 
usage. 

It was called os9p4 at one time, krnlp4 I think now, and is used by 
stacking the CC, calling "f$regdump" which spits the contents of all 
registers out to stdout, then pulling CC and your program continues 
without ever knowing its being snooped on other than the huge time 
lags in writing to stdout caused by the screens scroll routines.  To 
say that it was handier than a 6pack of your favorite subs is a gross 
understatement when you are doing things in assembler that most folks 
sensibly leave to C and its built in housekeeping.  Thats pretty 
bulletproof IF you are using c.prep, version 19.
