I'm looking for Rainbow magazines to fill out my collection. Let me know
what you have, and how much you want.

Thanks,

Leonard

Subject: [Coco] Can I Transfer Old CoCo Data Files??

Hi - I am new to the list - I got my first CoCo in 1984 (or was it '83)
with all of 4K, programmed it out of memory within 3 weeks and paid the
awful upgrade to 16K. It was a huge thrill. I had it until I got an
Amiga in 1991 - I still have 2 CoCos, including my 512K model. Tons of
software. Don't know what to do with it all. But thought I should see
if anyone wanted the stuff. I think I still have a box of old
magazines, too.

But my bigger problem is this - I have data files with lots of text
files of fiction writing and MIDI files from my old CoCo MIDI Pro
program. Everything is on 5.25 floppies. I have a Mac, not a PC, but I
do have access to a PC.

Is there some way I can transfer my data files from the CoCo floppies?
Will my CoCo Floppy drive work with a PC?
Do I need to have saved files in a specific format or did most save as
ASCII anyway? (Obviously not the MIDI)

I have a lot of years of work that I don't want to give up.

I also want a good home for my CoCos, even for parts, if anyone is
still using and enjoying them.

They changed my life.

Thanks,

Thea
