If IDG were publicly held, the thing to do might be to look up a major 
stockholder and explain the problem to that person.  For a privately 
held company ( I couldn't find them listed on the exchanges), the 
approach might be to go to the owner.  Finding an email address could 
be tough, but if a /. article explaining the problem were published, it 
would soon come to the attention of a data services company owner...
