Hi,

Since OS-9 knows how to read a 40 track disk in an 80 track drive, the
only thing you need a 40 track drive for is booting. Also, I seem to
recall from looking at the Teac PDF for the common 5.25" HD floppy that
it can be jumpered to operate as a DD drive.
