FreeBSD maybe, but its running some behind linux in hardware support
although there is a huge amount of cross-pollenization between these
2, and BeOS is single threaded yet the last time I checked. That
would be a huge step backwards for a linux user.

This machine, plus my firewall box and my eventualy to be milling
machine controller are all running some variation of linux, downright
bleeding edge on this machine with a 2.6.11-rc1 kernel.

The firewall, my 3rd line of defense against the script kiddies, is
running rh7.3, & the milling machine is running FC3-rc3 (ATM) and the
BDI-Live RC46 as installed, on seperate partitions, silent at the
moment as I'm working on a card driver for a card carrying 3 each
82C55's for the machine control interface.
