For those interested,

Last night, I successfully added ATAPI write code to the llide driver.  
While here at work, my CoCo 3 is doing a dsave from an RBF RTSI CD on a 
slave CD-ROM drive over to a 100MB ZIP disk on a ZIP-250 ATAPI master.  
  It's working flawlessly so far.

The llide driver also auto-detects ATAPI or ATA mode and LBA or CHS 
mode, so there will be no need to set bits in the descriptor to handle 
these features.
