Well, I pulled the ROM out of the RS-232 pak, and used the pak without it. Managed to transfer a file to my Mac, a BASIC program that was sitting on my terminal software disk. So that part works... I'm guessing the ROM is probably snafu'ed somehow. Thanks to everyone! James
