Purple? If you have faith and you squint, faith being the most important
component :-) IIRC it looked like alternating blue and red lines to me
(good eyesight, no faith...).

People used to do all kinds of cross hatching and whatnot. I used to
enjoy the monthly "gallery" in RAINBOW where people really showed what
they could do with all these tricks producing really colorful pictures
in a 2-color mode...
