More probably posted on Delphi or Compuserve forum areas and moved onto 
usenet - can't say that I had even heard of usenet in 1987.

Thanks for digging it up - it's funny seeing something like that pop up 
15 years later! I had written the patches for the x-pad and the lockup 
without the hires pack when CoCoMax first came out. Before I posted it 
online I sent the developer a message about it. He politely asked me 
not to post the patch because he was concerned about software piracy. I 
understood his concerns and didn't publish the information. When the 
CoCo 3 came out I asked if they were going to release a fix for CoCoMax 
to work with it. When they told me they weren't I posted the patch so 
others could use CoCoMax with the CoCo-3.

My DEFT AGS package can work with the x-pad also, but I don't think 
anyone but me ever wrote anything to use that feature. I've got 
corrected .DSK images that I'll post in the next day or so. They work 
fine on the MESS emulator on my iBook and on the emulator on the 
Windows PC downstairs, so they should work for others.
