It's called the CUDA switch. So-called because the PRAM and power manager
chip on some models used to be Cuda.

Shouldn't make any difference, since all the drivers are in the System
file, and Apple only made it possible to limit the drivers included in
early system versions.

But as I told Bob in a private mail, linux will boot it as well.
