Today, Cloud-9 is announcing the availability of SuperDriver from
Cloud-9. This driver package is for the TC^3 SCSI Controller, SuperIDE
Interface or Glenside IDE Interface owner who wants to use SCSI and/or
IDE drives under NitrOS-9. Development started before this year's CoCo
Fest and final testing and packaging wrapped up this past week.

It is no exaggeration to say that this is absolutely the BEST driver
package ever built for OS-9, bar none. There are some cool new
features, including the big one: our IDE low level driver supports
ATAPI drives such as ZIP100/ ZIP250/LS-120/CD-ROM/DVD-ROM. This is
unprecedented in the CoCo world. The drivers also use a new split-level
architecture, so running both SCSI and IDE devices won't tax your
system's memory as much as other solutions. In fact, low level drivers
are fairly easy to write, and there is documentation provided to do
show you how to do just that.

On top of that, these drivers support drive size auto query, so you do
not have to fiddle with the device descriptor at all when formatting
hard drives. Unless you are doing partitioning, or want to do
something custom, there is literally ZERO configuration. Just boot up
with the provided distribution disk, format your hard drives and start
using them.
