Great news!  What was the issue?

Reseated the at mega and it started working again. As a bonus I pulled out
an older CoCoSDC ( kit built) that hadn't been working for a for while.
Pulled all the socketed chips. Used deoxit on the chips, sockets, and card
edge. Cleaned them all. Reassembled and it works too. So, now I have three
working CoCoSDCs.
