Is that a Software Support Inc. interface? I was gifted a CoCo 3 with
hard drive 25 or so years ago. The SASI CoCo interface was from Disto,
but the label on the drive case was something else. Then there was
another SASI to MFM adapter in the case with the drive. I don't
remember who's name though, there has been a lot of water under the
bridge since then, not to mention the bit bucket overflowing at few
times too.

The label says 5Mb but this one may have been upgraded to a TM502 - 10Mb drive. The interface has a ROM on it. I will be dumping the ROM. When you power on the CoCo you are presented with a different boot screen. The drive spins up and sounds fine. The stepper motor for the heads moves freely and I can feel it move when I power it on. There is a wheel on the drive that I can feel move. Doing a DIR will make the red light turn on but I get a drive error. I do have a TM503 drive that I swapped out and I get the same result. I realize I may have to format the drive but I want to understand things better before I go down that road. There maybe stuff on the drive. Also I want to archive the drive to before formatting. I am looking for any information that someone might have. Maybe a manual.
