[Coco] Computer museums? CD-i stuff? (and Microware’s CoCo 3)

As Microware/OS-9 founder Ken Kaplan downsizes, I am taking possession of many items from his collection — from Microware internal newsletters, to books, to hardware.

Do any of the computer museums in America have CD-i displays? I have Ken’s personal Philips CD-i player (and a big box of discs for it) as well as a *portable* Sony CD-i player (battery powered, flips open like a clamshell DVD player or something). This one is apparently a bit rare and I’d like to get it in a computer museum somewhere.

I also have Kaplan’s personal CoCo 3 — and a box of cartridges he had for it, too.

Due to the historic significance of some of these items (many I plan to scan and get posted to archive.org) I’d like to try to get them in public collections rather than have them end up in someones basement via eBay or whatever.

Suggestions welcome.
