I looked at this incomiing msg here, in raw format. It appears
to be encoded but I couldn't find a mime boundary statement, but somehow
my tde version of kmail did decode it to display the above. I also note
that it passed thru a yahoo server at one point, so that is another
common clue as yahoo has been in the middle of quite a few email
problems on the net in general recently. And something has essentially
obliterated the verifiable src of this message.
Suggestion: get rid of yahoo, and use your own isp's mail server. IMO
that is smething YOU pay for when you pay your monthly bill. Call them
up and ask them!
FWIW, the msg's actual content, as it arrived here, looks like this:
Q2FuIHNvbWVvbmUgdGVsbCBtZSBob3cgSSBjYW4ga2VlcCB0aGUgQ29jbyBsaXN0IGZyb20gZ29p
bmcgZGlyZWN0bHkgdG8gbXkganVuayBtYWlsIEkgaGF2ZSB0cmllZCB0byBqdXN0IG1vdmUgaXQg
ZnJvbSBqdW5rIG1haWwgdG8gbXkgaW5ib3ggYnV0IHRoYXQgZG9lc27igJl0IHNlZW0gdG8gd29y
ayB3aGVuIHNvbWVib2R5IHBvc3RlZCBzb21ldGhpbmcgb3IgZXZlbiBJIHBvc3Qgc29tZXRoaW5n
IG9uIHRoZSBDb2NvIGxpc3QgaXQgZ29lcyBkaXJlY3RseSB0byBqdW5rIG1haWwgdGhhbmtzIGZv
ciBhbnkgaGVscAoKLS0gCkNvY28gbWFpbGluZyBsaXN0CkNvY29AbWFsdGVkbWVkaWEuY29tCmh0
dHBzOi8vcGFpcmxpc3Q1LnBhaXIubmV0L21haWxtYW4vbGlzdGluZm8vY29jbwo=
Looks a wee bit like base64 encoding. But no mime-boundary statements can
be seen.
But theres 10+ kilobytes of tracing and huge, 2 to 4 kilobyte dkms
signatures in front of that 5 line long msg.
Cheers, Gene Heskett
