I would highly recommend the Gotek USB drive with FlashFloppy firmware upgrade.
The Coco can't tell the difference. It thinks the Gotek is a floppy drive.

I think this is the best method for modern storage aside from the CocoSDC.

You still usually need a mounting kit/bezel and a power adapter.
They used to sell that as a complete kit with the adapter you posted.

Looks like it is getting hard to find those adapters outside of e-bay
though.
Found that they are making 720K floppy emulators that you can load from
a USB card though.
