Alex,
The SuperIDE has the data registers split at offset0 and offset8, IIRC.  Thus slower, 8bit width only.
Now the TC^3 would hit 10-11 seconds depending on the hard drive.
A lot has to do with the handshaking of the technology used.
Can you go faster....... :)
