[Coco] Curious more than anything - how many ham radio operators are out there?

I'm in Washington state now.  Retirement is on the horizon at which point we head back to just about the middle of Texas.

KC9ILA - Dave Philipsen - also replied that he was active on APRS every now and then.  That's something I want to try, but every article I have seen is either based on 1995 era software that I can never get to work nowadays, or requires some computer hardware (android phone) that I do not have.  It's on my list to get working, though.

And KB8SFC - Jason Reighard - mentioned trying some of the Coco software.  Other than terminal programs for packet (is packet even still around?  I thought the web killed it) what else is there that would actually be active if it ran?
