What are you confused about? Bruce was pointing out that you can get the complete 2 MB RAM kit (DAT/CPU protection board & RAM board) for $49. Because of the way the RAM board is set up, you can buy just it by itself for $29, although you can only use 512K of the 2MB until you get the DAT/CPU protection board installed as well.
