It was at a time when memory was very expensive, so compact coding was important.
Rainbow's first anniversary issue was December 1982 it was the first time professionally typeset and had full color covers.
I was wondering, if Rainbow was the first regular periodical focused on microcomputer software?
Then I found my subscription copy of Dr. Dobb's Journal from 1976,
Tiny BASIC Calisthenics & Orthodontia (Running Light Without Overbyte).
It already published Allison's interpreter language, Tiny BASIC.
