I use an old Nintendo power supply. It's been working fine for along time now

It didn't seem plausible to me that a DC supply would work either but that
was a claim I found in a forum.  I was hoping to avoid buying a power
supply for this little guy but I guess I may need to.  I am going to go
sift through a big junk box we have in the basement here at work though.
Maybe I'll get lucky.
