Yes, it doesn't appear to be allowing anything harmful as the SSH port 
is not giving shell access.  It connects directly to the BBS. I don't 
know how the system is setup but perhaps the BBS software has taken over 
port 2310 and is allowing anonymous logins.  And I would assume that 
user is not actually being elevated to 'root' level.
