George, what "installation" package are you using for DW4? IIRC, there is no "installation" to DW4. You just unzip the package into a folder and run it.
I'm not really familiar with Linux, but I know the last 6 or 7 versions of DW4 were a single zip file that worked for all platforms. I did do a Linux installation with DW4 in a VM a while back and as I recall, I just unzipped the download into a "home/dw4" folder (I think) and ran the "DW4UI.sh" file. I do recall having issues with my USB2DB9 adapter, but finally resolved it (not a DW4 related problem), and I also couldn't successfully make a desktop shortcut (it never ran from the shortcut), and I had to run it directly from the folder, but again, I'm not a Linux guru and was probably doing it wrong. I'm pretty sure I was running Mint.

I sent this earlier(days ago) and it seems to have fallen through the cracks. I'm attempting to build a DW4 system for my CC3 and update to Nitros9.-------- Forwarded Message --------Subject: [Coco] Installing DW4 on Linux mintDate: Sun, 18 Jun 2017 12:18:01 -0500From: George Ramsower <georgera at gvtc.com>Reply-To: CoCoList for Color Computer Enthusiasts <coco at maltedmedia.com>To: CoCoList for Color Computer Enthusiasts <coco at maltedmedia.com> It seems to run once it is done but it isn't really installed, Ithink. I also have hundreds of lines of retries while it's doing it'sinstall thing. I have a snipped version of the report if someone wishesto look at it and offer some assistance with this. Drop me a note and I can send a file of what I have.George R.-- Coco mailing listCoco at maltedmedia.comhttps://pairlist5.pair.net/mailman/listinfo/coco-- Coco mailing listCoco at maltedmedia.comhttps://pairlist5.pair.net/mailman/listinfo/coco
