Hi Dave,
I do know about USB /PS2 keyboards but hey are all rubber dome key operated and most of them are Mylar bases, on which you can not solder. Now this deal are real sherry blue switches ( unless they lie, I will see that soon enough ), so there are many opportunities to make a new keyboard for the coco. Or harvesting the keys and make a new pcb, or rewire the existing board, and take the layout for granted. This is personal to the extend of how close you want to go to the originally layout of the coco ( 1 2 3).
The only problem I still see is to get the right caps with the specific layout for the coco, like red break, and some others.
I need to do some laser experiments.
It would be a nice replacement if I can keep it a project @ $70 a $80( this board incl. ).

Just FYI, some of the USB keyboards (not all) retain backward compatibility with the PS/2 keyboards. All that is required is a simple USB->PS/2 adapter and they will work.
