Hi Shain,

As others mentioned, a normal ZIF socket probably won't give you the required clearance.

You would need to use a "low profile" ZIF socket to do it.

Something like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/122077262306
should do the trick.

Quarter turn on the screw locks the chip in place.

What are people's thoughts on using a ZIF socket?  Although the same, would
allow swapping 6809 and 6309, etc.
