[Coco] Before I try to reinvent the wheel, has anyone made a "boot to coco" raspberry pi system?

Hey Guys,

I wrote up a blog on compiling MAME on the Raspberry Pi about a year ago, it’s what actually lead me to getting back into the CoCo. I wanted to see if the latest MAME (at the time) would run the CoCo 3 at 100% on a Raspberry Pi. I wanted to use the latest MAME because it incorporate MESS and I like the Disk image tools and wanted the latest on the Raspberry Pi. During my testing I starting playing more and more with the CoCo emulation on MAME and this got me hooked on the CoCo again. Now I’ve got my old CoCo3 out with an HDMI adapter hooked up to a Colour monitor and I’m having a blast (except when debugging some new progress for hours and hours gets me nowhere) porting Pac Man to the CoCo3. It’s so much faster to learn things now with the great help of the friendly users on this email group and other sources on the internet. Back in the 80’s there were BBS’s, a few books, user groups and magazines but that was about it.

Anyways this link to my blog might be useful if someone wants to compile MAME on a raspberryPI:

If you want to see my progress on the port of Pac Man to the 6809 it starts here:

Cheers,
Glen
