And plenty of room for images to put on that display in the SD card.
Maybe even video driven by the 6809...
Looking at the LCD driver data sheet, this looks very doable as it even has a
parellel interface mode and the video ram is in the controller (no messing with
refreshing the screen directly). A shift register setup for com with the SD in the
CPLD (and various decoding/registers) and everything should be pretty straight
forward from there.
If Jim wanted to nail down the hardware design I’d be willing to tackle the firmware,
but I sense maybe the modern components would be objectionable to some in this case…
Although a 40th anniversary tribute showing the old still alive and kicking, and melded to
the new sounds kind of cool to me.
