[Coco] RGB/VGA Question

Hi all,

I purchased a NEC LCD71V and built a RGB to VGA cable for my CoCo3.  The display works just fine, nice and crisp (green screen).

However, all games that I have tested thus far display in black and white.

Is this normal?  Is there a workaround?
