Richard, the sources that Gene is referring to are not "assembly sources" but "definitions" used for assembly. I know that probably makes no sense, but to make it short, they're just lists of OS9 tables and variables with comments explaining (hopefully) what they are for.
The 'defs' files are a wealth of knowledge as they contain tables and variale explinations not found in any OS9 documentation.
For example.. the variables used in "dmode" are listed and explained in "rbf.d" under the "RBF Device Descriptor" table.
Thge "rbf.d" contains most of the rbf (file) info and "scf.d" contains most of the scf (serial) info. Also, "os9.d" itself contains general OS9 info on tables, system calls, and such.
You don't need to be a programmer to understand the info there (but maybe so to use it).
These files can be found in the repo in the "root/defs" folder, or on any NitrOS9 distribution disk under "/dx/defs"
Most of these files are now too large to list with an OS9 text editor and are easier viewed with a PC text editor.

I wish I did, learning it is on my bucket list, but asyou've so often pointed out, the stinking tuit hasn't reared its headyet 8-/.Will attempt to get the source and peruse it to see if I can make headsor tails of it.Cheers-- Coco mailing listCoco at maltedmedia.comhttps://pairlist5.pair.net/mailman/listinfo/coco
