Ed, I'll answer for Barry... try using the "Compact" mode and the <TAB> key will work as <CLEAR>
This mode is being created for laptops, but Mac was kept in mind.
If ya have any suggestions for this mode, post on the issues page on the VCC github site.
Also, I don't know if Barry included the new VCC manual in his download (you can get by downloading the release package from github), but the manual has keyboard charts for each mode.
