If you did the commands in that order ( 'DIR' 'DIR 1' and 'DOS' )
that is the correct response.
If you ( 'DIR 1' 'DIR' and 'DOS' ) the dos command will run from
drive 0. (At least, the stock DECB) DOS command accesses the last used
drive.
