Allen, do you run your system with both the SDC and a real floppy
controller together in an MPI?  If so, you may want to try running without
the floppy controller attached to see if that makes any difference.

The SDC driver does have to take the precaution of masking interrupts
during I/O if it has detected the presence of a floppy controller.
