Dave:
If you haven't seen it, attached is my decription of the boot
process printing (with msdos eols). It describes what the system prints
on the screen as it boots. The * indicates failure and the X indicates
Pathname Not Found error. 'X' is ASCII 88, and 88 + 128 = 216, the
error code for 'Path Name Not Found'.
