[Coco] OT: Upgrade to WIndows 10?

My experience on a desktop and a laptop have been pretty much the same. Windows 10 is wat Windows 8 should have been. MS is notorious for running products out that aren't fully ready (in many people's opinions), especially Windows. Takes a couple iterations to get it smooth and "right". My HP desktop worked fine, I had to load new touch pad drivers for my Asus laptop (couldn't turn the touchpad off with the FN key... don't know if other FN key functions worked or not) from Asus. The only problem I've had is running Oracle's Virtualbox. It runs fine, but I can't get it to successfully boot Linux Mint. Had it running fine under 8.1. Downloaded a new ISO of the latest Mint since I had to install the latest Virtualbox (the version I had on Win 8.1 wouldn't run on 10). That freezes when Mint starts to boot, so I tried the version of Mint I had installed (from a CD) on Win 8.1. That did the same thing. That was 2-3 weeks ago. Oracle may have another update now, will have to try that. Tried booting directly from the ISO image (there is now an option for that) and that was a no-go too. I might need to go to the HP site and see if there are newer Win 10 drivers for the hardware as I did with the laptop. Funny, didn't think about that until now!! Could be the problem...

I've found after upgrading my HP Pavilion laptop from Win7 to Win10 it runs a lot smoother and quicker. Boots a lots faster as well.
I did have hardware compatibility issues in the beginning but once it matured and updates came through it was great.
The biggest thing that has impressed me is how well it runs on slightly older hardware.
