Normally you use _most_ punctuation (commas, periods, etc.) in HTML
just as in plain text. No escaping, no special HTML tags. Josh just
usually doesn't use any. This has always been his style.

As for the blobs people are reporting, I don't know. That does look
like a plain->HTML->plain thing. However, using GMail, Gene's messages
look fine to me. Josh's look normal to me too. Everyone has normal
vertical white space.
