Why not just google "open source video capture", you'll find lots of options. I did.
If it appears on your screen, it can be recorded.

My attempts to save a panorama taken almost right in front of my childhood home
failed.
I had to do screen prints and put them together. And the Army Core of
Engineers General sent me a CD of the original pictures which made me happy. Now
Google Earth opens looking at my childhood front door.
I just ran into another
case where Adobe would not do what many people besides me want to do.
Answer
in both cases was to punt or spend $$$$ on Adobe software.
That's how they
make their money.
Pictures, right click and select 'Save Picture as..".
Or
save the webpage as IE / Tools / save / file save as. Don't use the single file
option.
