You can actually use a CGA monitor with a CoCo3. Just wire a cable matching pins. Note that there will be a few pins not used. This is not good for games as colors are limited to about 8 IIRC. The intensity line isn't used for one thing, which would double the colors the monitor can display. Still, this makes a good 80 column capable display for more serious uses, though few use the CC3 that way any more. Even when they do, they still like to play games on it as well.  Not really a good tip today, as CGA monitors are harder to find than analog RGB monitors that will work with the CC3 (due to those being Amiga and Atari ST compatible), though they are also hard to find.
