Yeah, it is looking that way.  Oh well, I can't say I didn't have warning. 
I "upgraded" from a coco 2 to a coco 3 in 1988 and had already read about 
the MPI issue in Rainbow by that time.  27 years latter it is biting me in 
the rump.
