And from a recent post on the emc-developers list, the BeagleBone Black's 
video performance is not on par with that of an X86 computer, so it 
seems most who are running the ARM version of LinuxCNC on the BBB, are 
also exporting the video functions to an X86 box for the controllers 
display as its several times faster than using the BBB's native HDMI 
output.
