IIRC the Dragon "Beta" was dual 6809, but never made it out of prototype. However it is supported in Mess and has OS9 available for it, though again IIRC the second 6809 was for the display.

Someone has done some work in that direction with ideas:

Sock Master created this page throwing thoughts towards a CoCo4 (please 
lets not erupt into that discussion again), but, had some pretty neat 
ideas including a 3 CPU motherboard.
